The Magna Chamber of Commerce announces the 2020 Future Business Leaders Scholarship Awards in recognition of achievement in Science, Technology and Education.
Benjamin Searle was awarded for his Outstanding Achievement and received a $1,500 scholarship. Jacob Pentico was awarded for his Excellent Achievement and received a $1,000 scholarship. Isabel Cossa was awarded for her Merit Achievement and received a $500 Scholarship.
These scholarships were made possible by a generous commitment from Northrop Grumman to help reach the educational goals of Cyprus High School graduating seniors who intend to pursue studies at a Utah institution of higher education.
Candidates were required to have a minimum GPA of 3.6, complete an essay on their educational goals and career interests as well as provide a faculty nomination letter for review by the Selection Committee as designated by the Magna Chamber of Commerce. We want to congratulate the scholarship recipients and their families, support them as they get ready to go to college, and encourage them to succeed. Due to the COVID-19 public health orders we were unable to host our annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon.
